The A7 Zastava is the OTF that came out of a partnership between TEKTO Knives and Zastava Arms. It pairs Zastava's long manufacturing story with the way we build automatics, and the result is a knife with a look no other OTF in our line has: wood set into metal.
The Collaboration
Zastava Arms traces its roots to Serbian manufacturing in 1853 and is known in the United States through Zastava Arms USA. TEKTO builds automatics. The A7 is where those two meet: our mechanism and steel, with a handle that borrows the wood-and-metal character of Zastava's classic designs.
The Blade
The blade is 3.60 inches of S35VN, a stainless powder steel chosen for edge retention and rust resistance, ground as a double-edge spear point. The symmetrical point pierces cleanly and gives a second edge when the first dulls, and because it is a double edge, it is worth a check against your state's rules on daggers before you order. Blade options are listed on the product page.
The Handle
The handle is 6061-T6 aluminum, 4.90 inches long, light and rigid, with wood inlays along the scales. The grain varies from piece to piece, so no two Zastavas are quite alike. The shape fills the hand and the inlays warm it, which is the whole idea: a working OTF that looks like something passed down.
The Details
A tungsten glass breaker sits in the tail. The slider is double action, out and back with one thumb. At 3.70 ounces and 8.70 inches open, the Zastava carries like the A5 Spry with a little more presence in the hand.
Who It Is For
Collectors will buy it for the inlays. People who carry a knife every day will keep carrying it for the steel and the mechanism. If you are deciding between OTF sizes, our blade length guide places the 3.60-inch Zastava in the range, and the 50-state guide covers where it is legal to carry.

People Are Asking
What are the A7 Zastava's specifications?
A 3.60-inch S35VN double-edge spear point blade, a 4.90-inch 6061-T6 aluminum handle with wood inlays, 8.70 inches open, 3.70 ounces, a tungsten glass breaker and a double-action slider.
Who is Zastava Arms?
A Serbian manufacturer with roots in 1853, best known in the United States for firearms sold through Zastava Arms USA. The A7 borrows the wood-and-metal look of its classic designs.
Is a double-edged OTF legal where I live?
It depends on the state. Several states that allow automatics restrict daggers or double-edged blades, so the Zastava needs two checks: automatics, then double edges. Our 50-state guide and the state pages cover both.
